‘Ever Emerging Magazine Barcelona’
In September 2022, I began the journey of curating the issue of Ever Emerging Magazine Barcelona. For five months I have been visiting the studios of five artists, each of whose work triggered very inspiring conversations that I have attempted to resume in the magazine’s pages. (…) I was impressed to find out many common principles that naturally occurred during the interviews, such as certain attention and care for details; delicacy and respect towards the materials; sensibility and the ability to observe, to listen, and to wait for inspiration; the reflection and consciousness of the passing of time; the troubles following their own inspiration, which often means going against norms of market logic. But also, and most of all, I would like to highlight the capacity of reinvention in every instance; of adaptation and transformation following their own paths of life, which, in my opinion, makes them ever-emerging artists.
